We are a San Diego-based Taiwanese tea and small eats shop rooted in a simple but uncommon belief: specialty tea should be for everyone—not just those with six-figure salaries or the academics writing for niche tea journals.
Our menu celebrates both the depth of tradition and the simple bliss of daily enjoyment. From rich, high-mountain oolongs to vibrant ceremonial-grade matcha fruit lattes, we craft each drink with care---testing dozens of farms for each tea, micro-tuning our water mixtures to encourage the expression of every subtle note, and dialing in ratios and steep times to bring out the soul of each origin.
Our meticulous approach to tea applies just as well to our foods, with offerings like 滷肉飯 (braised pork rice) and curry bowls. These authentic recipes are home-grown and further refined to perfectly balance sweetness and umami, rounding out the Taiwanese street food experience we bring to the local markets in San Diego.
All our offerings are priced with love for people—not the elasticity of the market. Some shops exploit the elasticity of specialty tea pricing, charging well over $6 for a cup of tea. Others cut corners to keep prices down, relying on syrups to mask low-quality leaves.
This is specialty tea with integrity, brewed for all and not the few.
